Agents Shinichi Kasu and Muneto fight "Demon Beasts," aliens who possess human bodies to adapt to Earth for eventual conquest. Tragedy strikes when Muneto's friend, Tsutomu, is taken over by one of these creatures and targets his love, Kayo. Despite a desperate struggle to save him, Tsutomu ultimately urges Muneto to end his life to protect Kayo, highlighting the brutal sacrifice required to defend the planet.

Kayo Asakura becomes the host for a Demon Beast that threatens to terraform Earth for an alien invasion. Alongside new agent Junichi Yagami, Muneto Ungyosai battles the creature, but the fight leads to devastating losses. Muneto and Kayo travel to Ohyama at the invitation of Miyuki, a shrine maiden cousin who claims they need purification from a lingering Demon Beast. However, the trip turns into a nightmare as an ancient karmic debt resurfaces, revealing that Muneto and Miyuki are reincarnations of past lovers. As the Demon Beast exploits their latent desires to break a sacred seal, Muneto must confront his ancestral burden to save Kayo and free Miyuki from the entity's control.
Resurrection of the Heart
Muneto and Kayo struggle with the lingering influence of the Demon Beast, which seeks to use Kayo's unique connection to be reborn. While traveling upriver to stop the creature, they encounter river bandits, including Mei Ling's former lover, Hoei, whose mind is under the Beast's control. By tapping into "Chuan Zui Ji"—the power of shared memories and love—Mei Ling and Muneto fight to reclaim their loved ones and permanently seal away the Demon Beast's influence.
The Demon Beast's Rebirth
During a class trip to a remote island, Muneto and Kayo are targeted by a legendary Demon Beast that believes Kayo is its mother. As the creature captures students to fuel its rebirth, the pair must navigate the island's tragic folklore and locate a lost Maitreya statue to stop the monster. Despite the interference of a delusional follower, Kayo and Muneto manage to invoke the statue's divine power to defeat the beast and save their classmates.
