Ryuichi discovers that Emi is a servant to the sadistic island owner, Yoshimasa, who captures the group to serve as his personal slaves. Amidst the violence, Ryuichi recovers memories of a past life, realizing he is the reincarnation of a boy who loved Wakaba eight years prior. After Wakaba is tragically killed by Yoshimasa once again, Ryuichi makes a final, desperate wish at the Kotodama shrine, leading to a miraculous reunion and the restoration of the island's nature.
