After helping the spirit Kiyomi find peace by completing her flower garden, Shigemaro encounters Kaoru, a spirit longing for a lost ring. Following a battle with a Karasutengu monster, Shigemaro discovers that Kaoru is not truly dead but is actually in a coma. Inspired by Shigemaro's kindness and support, Kaoru overcomes her despair and finds the strength to return to the living world.
